Vita

Evi Romen was born in Bolzano in Italy. At present she is living and working in Vienna.

Back then in Bozen she studied piano and cello at the Conservatoire Bolzano.

At the Summer Academy in Salzburg she took part in the photography classes of Dieter Appelt and Verena von Gagern.

It followed the Film Academy of Vienna with a specialisation on camera and editing where she received her degree with honors.

Starting in 1990 she has been working as an editor ever since. 2016 she took the next step as a script author and then 2019 as a film director.
